Responsibilities:
The probate division handles:
- deceased estates
- incapacitated and/or disabled estates
- minor guardianships and conservatorships
- mental health proceedings
The Probate Judge presides over
hearings to:
- distribute property
- decide issues of inheritance
- determine the competency of those persons deemed underage or incapacitated by mental illness
