Jim Plunkett was elected to the second district post in 2004. This is his first time serving in public office. Plunkett brings more than 25 years business experience in the private sector to the commission. His expertise was garnered as owner and operator of JPI Glass in Kansas City, Missouri.

He and his wife, Sherri, have been married 18 years and have three children. His family attends Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Jim and his family live south of Platte City in the unincorporated area.

He wants all citizens to know he has an open door policy and welcomes any and all suggestions that could help Platte County.
