Responsibilities:

Assesses (puts a value on) real estate and personal property for tax
purposes.
Reassesses (updates) all real property assessments in the County to equalize values among taxpayers and to adjust values to current market conditions.
Creates and maintains paper and computerized maps of the County.
Keeps track of transfers of ownership of property in the County.
