The Platte County Courthouse will see improvements in 2025. The County is adding a courtroom for a new circuit court and upgrading/modernizing portions of the historic building. Improvements will require changes to Courthouse access.
Beginning Monday November 25, 2024, access to the Courthouse will be from the western side of the County complex near the flagpoles. Jurors, citizens, and attorneys will go through security at this location and be directed to the Courthouse lower level. Access at this point to the Detention Center remain the same. Access to the County’s Administrative Offices will be adjusted slightly north.
Parking is available along Third Street, High Street, and in two County owned parking lots adjacent to the entrance as shown in the map below. If you are a first time Platte County juror, please park in these areas and proceed to the temporary Courthouse entrance where the security staff will be available to direct you to the jury assembly room.
The Courthouse improvement project will take approximately a year and be completed at the end of 2025.
