What is Mediation?:
Mediation is an opportunity for people in conflict to meet with an impartial third party who will facilitate the communication and assist the parties in reaching some resolution to their disagreement.
Purpose of Mediation:
The purpose of this program is to provide custody and visitation mediation services to help parents resolve problems relating to custody and visitation that when left unresolved often lead to difficulty in establishing or paying child support.
Who Can Receive Services:
Divorcing parents, who are having problems resolving custody and visitation issues.
Cost:
Qualifying parents who are ordered to attend mediation may receive up to four (4) hours of mediation services at no cost to them. Any additional mediation can be arranged with the mediator and the payment of such shall be the responsibility of the parents.
