The County Clerk will charge a fee for the time used to research and the cost of paper copies or other media and if other offices are involved in searching for records, then the hourly charge will vary from office to office.
Sunshine Request Policy Obtaining Access to Public Records
- In accordance with the Sunshine Law of the State of Missouri, RSMo 610.023, the Platte County Clerk, as the custodian of Platte County public records, shall provide for access to a public record when requested.
- Any information requests relating to the court system or records from a court case need to be directed to the Circuit Clerk. You can contact their office at [email protected].
- Requests shall be acted upon as soon as possible, but in no event, later than the end of the third business day following the date the request is received.
